Press Brake/Laser Machine Operator

Location: Tualatin, OR

Salary: $25+ DOE

Shift Differential: $2.00 (must have experience)

Swing Shift: 

• 1:30 pm-11:30 pm 
• Monday-Thursday, OT on Fridays 
• MUST TRAIN ON DAYS

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and adjust the press brake and laser, including daily operator  maintenance.
• Accurately produce quickly, efficiently, and within required tolerances
• Operate equipment according to all safety procedures
• Inform the maintenance team of any mechanical malfunctions immediately
• Actively participate in a safety program
• Perform other duties as required
• Maintain work area to 5s standards
• Cross-train on various machines within the department

• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work from shop drawings
• Recognize and identify all types of sheet metal used within the plant
• Proficiently read a tape measure
• Follow all safety and housekeeping rules
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be team-oriented
• Skills to read and write English, to work from blueprints and drawings.
• Operate a forklift and understand its capacities. (Company certification required)

• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating a 60-ton or larger press brake
  
• Minimum of 6 months experience operating press brakes or Lasers
• Sheet metal manufacturing experience; prefer stainless steel
• Knowledge or experience with: Cincinnati, Accupress, or Bystronic Expert Series press  brakes
• Knowledge or experience with Amada CO2 Lasers
• NC Programming and Drafting software knowledge preferred, experience working in a  production environment

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
