Pipefitter Lead

Location: Plaquemine, LA

Pay: DOE

Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate materials and equipment according to job specifications.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes as required.
• Install pipe hangers, brackets, and supports.
• Assemble and install pipes and fittings using various methods.
• Test piping systems for leaks and perform repairs as needed.
• Weld pipe supports to structural steel members.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.

Requirements:

• Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
• Decision-making based on measurable criteria.
• Proficiency in shop mathematics.
• Capability to plan work and select proper tools.
• Visualization of objects in three dimensions.
• Ability to discern differences in size, shape, and form.

Physical Requirements

• Comfort working at heights.

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
• Works under immediate supervision.
