Industrial Electrician

Location: Lethbridge, AB

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $50 p/hr.

Key Accountabilities

• Utilize safe work practices and promote safety policies.
• Proficient in electrical standards, codes, best practices, and safe work policies.
• Responsible for the safe use of equipment, including forklifts, skid steer loaders, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Work alongside and support Millwrights & Welders, assisting with mechanical equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations.
• Proficient in material take-offs, interpreting construction drawings, and providing accurate layouts.
• Supervise laborers and resources for specific tasks.
• Mentor and train junior workers.
• Complete required daily paperwork with legible penmanship.
• Responsible for all company tools, ensuring accountability at the end of each day.

Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrates honesty and integrity in all business interactions.
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude, able to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks.
• Demonstrated electrical aptitude, understanding principles, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of processing equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drive (VFDs).
• Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics.

Experience

• Experience working with voltages ranging from 24V to 575V, 3 phase.

Certificates, Licenses & Tickets

• Enrolled in an apprenticeship program; journeyman status and interest in becoming dual-ticketed in Millwrighting is an asset.

• Valid class 5 driver’s license required with a clean driver’s abstract.
