General Labor

Location: New Berlin, WI

Job Type: Full-time 

Hours: 1st Shift  

Pay: $17 - $19/Hour

Schedule: 

• 1st Shift
• Monday - Thursday
• 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate machines such as CNC, Laser, Bender, Saw, etc.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, unsafe and unusual conditions
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Be open to work in different departments within the shop environment
• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
  

Experience

• Variety of solid experience within manufacturing settings, preferably miscellaneous metals

Knowledge & Skills

• Effective and professional communication skills - verbal and written
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
• Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
• Time management skills, prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Work in a fast-paced team environment, flexibility, quick learner

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to bend/kneel, stoop/crouch, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Pre-employment
