What Express Employment Professionals is Hiring for:

Diesel Mechanic

Location: Kalispell, MT

Salary: $22.00 - $26.00

Position: Full-time

Work Schedule: 

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work safely.
  • Keep a clean work area, pick up tools, and remove old used parts; clean up after the job is complete.
  • Know and understand service procedures, lube, oil changes, light repair, and wiring diagnostics.
  • Understand wheel end and brake mechanics to replace brakes, s-cams and bushings, replace wheel seals, and wheel studs.
  • Repair tarps, remove and replace, patch tarps.
  • Have a full understanding of brakes and the brake certification.
  • Troubleshoot air systems, air ride, tag axle components.
  • Rebuild 5th wheels.
  • Adjust, inspect, and adjust steering components.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Understand ABS systems along with the air brake system.

Tools & Equipment

  • Must have your own tools.
  • Able to do some welding with Tig Welder and use torch set.

Experience

  • 2-3 years' experience

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified to do FHWA inspections.
