What Jardeg is Hiring for:

Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons to join the CNRL Horizon site. The approximate duration is until June 18, 2024. The shift rotation is 10 days on, 4 days off, working 10 hour days and moving into a 6 days on 1 day off schedule working 12 hour days in May.  Flights and camp accommodations are provided. The camp is Richardson camp and all rooms have a private washroom. Flight hubs are Edmonton and Calgary. For employees local to Fort McMurray there is a bus that goes to and from site daily, you can also drive to site daily or choose to stay in camp for the duration of the shift rotation. New increased rates in effect for March 3rd.

Steamfitter – pipefitters lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes. Pipefitters also remove and replace worn components, do general maintenance work and may work on plant shutdowns.

Pipefitter Journeyperson Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
  • Follow various Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson.
  • CSTS 09 or Common Safety Orientation
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Basic Rigging.
