Temporary Labourer

Location: Medicine Hat, AB

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: Up to $20 per hour

Shifts: Weekends and Evenings

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of recreation facilities
• Basic building repairs and routine maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with Facility Operators for security and proper operation
• Areas of focus: General security, ice surface maintenance, equipment upkeep, pool cleaning, and sanitation

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of custodial techniques, cleaning equipment, and supplies
• Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of general maintenance principles
• Adaptability to changing priorities with flexibility
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with limited direction
• Proficient understanding of safety requirements, emergency procedures, and standard operating procedures
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Sound decision-making ability and commitment to safety

Education

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or high school equivalency diploma

Experience

• Three (3) months related experience in aquatic, dryland, and ice recreation facility operations
• Demonstrated working knowledge and ability to use power and hand tools and equipment

Certificates & Licenses

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates required
• An equivalent combination of management-approved training and experience may be considered
