Hot Shot Driver III

RESPONSIBILITIES:            

1. Operates the truck in compliance with established safety regulations and procedures. 40%

2. Assists in loading and unloading cargo. 20%

3. Monitors trucks’ performance. 20%

4. Maintaining the drilling yard by providing general maintenance and upkeep. 20%

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• State Issued Driver’s license with a clear motor vehicle record

EDUCATION

High school or GED equivalent 

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years or truck driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is normally performed in controlled conditions inside, but exposed to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold; fumes, and gases are frequent.
• The worker is exposed to noise, moving/mechanical parts, and vibration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The worker is required to perform most work while sitting for hours at a time, also standing or walking is required.
• The work of this position is considered “medium,” physically, which involves the frequent movement of up to 75 lbs. to lift, push, pull, or carry such objects as equipment.
• The work of this position requires eye and hand/foot coordination and manual dexterity associated with operating motor vehicle.
• Vision and depth perception skills are required to operate motor vehicles.
