Hiring Heavy Equipment Welders in Fort McKay, AB - 14 & 14, 12-Hour Days, up to $55/hour

We are seeking Journeyperson Welders!

The Opportunity:

This is a local position working at our Caribou Energy Park Shop in Fort McKay, AB. The shift for this position is 14 days on, followed by 14 days off rotation working 12-hour days. The successful local candidate will be required to have their own transportation to/from the shop.

The Role:

The Journeyperson Welder position includes but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, fabrication and fitter welding.

Accountabilities:

• Assist the various divisions with insight and knowledge of superior manufacturing methods.
• Strong knowledge and skill in operating all metal working machinery.
• Required to be able to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.
• Complete all maintenance tasks to ensure equipment, housekeeping, and work areas are kept to best standards and safe working conditions.
• Embrace collaboration with individuals of diverse personalities.
• Perform routine technical inspections, maintenance, and fueling of equipment.
• Assist team members in a professional, friendly, and collaborative manner.
• Report any equipment damages, maintenance requirements, and delays to supervisor.
• Maintain safety and maintenance records in compliance with company and client requirements.
• Perform any additional duties as required to ensure top client services are provided.

Requirements and Competencies:

• Welder Journeyperson or Red Seal Trade Ticket.
• Class Five (5) Drivers License is required.
• Satisfactory 5-year Drivers Abstract.
• Previous portable line boring experience is preferred.
• Ability to access all client sites as required.
• Able to work in all weather and working site conditions.
• Physically able to complete the duties of the position.
• Successfully complete all pre-employment drug, alcohol, and physical abilities testing.
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) certification or equivalent.

• The shift for this position is 14 days on, followed by 14 days off rotation working 12-hour days.
