PipeFitter (Class A)

Location: Clute, TX

Pay Rate: $28-$32/hr DOE

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:45PM to 12:30AM

Responsibilities:

• Advanced interpretation of blueprints and drawings for projects
• In Depth knowledge of methods, material, equipment, and operation of welding and fitting procedures
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reassembling by using oxy torch, plasma arc, iron worker, press break, saws, grinders, and hand tools
• Fit and tack various types and sizes of steel parts and components to be welded onto subassemblies or assemblies, according to drawings, specifications and instructions.
• Must be able to weld together parts using any of the welding processes on various metals such as carbon steel, stainless, alloys, etc.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience with vessels, heat exchangers, and pipe
• Be able to layout, fit and weld: Tangential nozzles, Rolling offsets, Miters, Sloped bottom cylinders, Cones, Elliptical layouts, etc.
• Perform as both a fabricator and welder
• Extensive experience with rigging and over-head crane operation
