What Ledcor is Hiring for:

Class 1 Driver/Senior Labourer 

Location: Edmonton, AB

Job Type: Full-Time 

Hours: Modified work schedule - 9 days on/5 days off 

Pay: DOE

LOA: Provided

Schedule: Subject to overtime, extended work hours, and work weeks as needed 

Benefits: Living Out Allowance provided, benefits provided by CLAC 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks on the labour crew to support pipeline maintenance operations
  • Hand digging of hotlines, removal of existing coating on pipeline, operating sandblasting units, site set-up, setting up hoarding/fencing, using hand tools, and small machines
  • Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment for transport to work locations
  • Acting as a spotter for trucks and other heavy equipment
  • Provide general clean-up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
  • Ensure work is completed within deadlines
  • Flexibility with duties to support project requirements 

Experience

  • 5+ years of labour experience

Certificates & Licenses

  • Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract

  • Willingness to obtain TDG, Defensive Driving, First Aid Level C, and WHMIS certifications 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience within pipeline scope
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

Tools & Equipment: 

  • Hand tools, small machines 

Work Conditions:

  • Project-based in various locations across Alberta, meeting in Spruce Grove, AB
  • Travel often to support maintenance activities in various locations across Alberta
  • Overnight stays required
Work Conditions
  • Work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions 
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs 

Pre-employment: 

  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
