Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Employment Type: Temp To Perm

Pay Rate: $25-$35 DOE

Position: Full time

Start: ASAP!

Schedule: M-F, some weekends 8a-5p

Responsibilities 

• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns, diagnosis and provide estimated repairs
  
• Electric diagnosis and troubleshooting, reading diagrams and schematics
  
• Diesel engines (common rail systems electronics injectors/ Catalytic converter)
  
• Hydraulic diagnosis and trouble shooting
  
• Welding
  
• Utilize computer diagnostic equipment

• Ensure guards and safety devices are functioning properly
  
• Write clear parts requisitions and service write-ups

Experience

• 3-5 years mechanical experience in heavy construction equipment & cranes
  

• Friction crane experience and certification a plus

Tools & Equipment

• Complete set of tools
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, initial health check required

Certificates & Licences

• Must have a valid U.S. Driver' s license, pass a drug test, and be able to pass a Federal background investigation
  
• Crane Specific Training: Grove, RT, GMK, Manitowc preferred.

• Maintain current forklift operator training certification
