Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Morristown, IN 46161

Position Type: Direct Hire

Shifts: 1st and 2nd

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 an hour

Primary Position Responsibility:

• Maintain the plant in a safe and reliable condition in compliance with all applicable corporate, state, and federal codes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Make machine adjustments to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Utilize electrical/mechanical skills with utility systems.
• Perform machining and welding of parts.
• Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with pumps, motors, AC/DC drives, PLC/control system operations, and precision tools/instruments.
• Strong control troubleshooting with some PLC programming ability.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist, plan, and provide preventive maintenance and line support.
• Troubleshoot routine and complex equipment and system problems.
• Fabricate and install mechanical and electronic equipment and perform program changes.
• Engage in safety, compliance, continuous improvement, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Support the Maintenance Director through writing and closing work orders using the current CMMS.
• Complete scheduled training and perform cross-training and other work-related duties as assigned.
• Provide training, including On-the-Job Training (OJT) to other employees.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

• 3+ years of industrial/preventative maintenance experience.

Work Conditions

• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience with conveyor maintenance.
• Experience with boilers, industrial refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and electrical controls.
• Some experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley).
