What Halliburton is Hiring for:

Currently advertising on their social media outlets, Halliburton is hiring fracking operators in Alberta, Canada!

This is an entry-level position subject to a 90-day training period where Halliburton will provide industry leading training in our field operations. 

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Under strict supervision, learns basic safety and repair procedures on frac acid equipment.
  • Learns basic operations to include but not limited to: performing pre/post job equipment inspections, performing and completing preventative maintenance procedures, maintaining equipment (e.g., pumps, discharge manifold equipment, etc.).
  • Completes requisite training and demonstrates competency as defined for current and next level.
  • Assists in the clean up, repair, and preparation for a job.
  • May be asked to assist during the rigging up and down of service line equipment at the wellsite.
  • Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
  • Reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred.
  • Exhibits safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • This is the entry level position into the Service Operator job family.
  • Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Class 5 Non-GDL driver's license required with the ability to obtain a Class 1 license. Halliburton will support successful candidates in the necessary Class 1 license course once employed. 
  • Reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred.
  • This position requires you to coordinate your own local housing in Grand Prairie during scheduled time on. 
  • Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off. (Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs). 

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and /or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available including up to a Service Operator I - Frac/Acid.
