What Savard Labor and Marine is Hiring for:

Savard is hiring CDL A Concrete Pump Operators for work in Laplace, LA for Job # 10485.

Job Scope/Duties: 

• Performs the functions required utilizing a diesel powered concrete pump.

• Inspect concrete pump and related equipment (hoses, clamps, etc.) for operational and safety factors, noting/correcting and notifying the Job Site Supervisor of any problems or deficiencies. Do this periodically throughout each day.

• Check all fluids and equipment operation daily.

• Make sure concrete pump is properly blocked up off the ground to ensure pump does not become embedded in grout.

• Make sure splash board is in place to protect discharge manifold from grout and to protect the operator and grout truck from exposure to discharge elbow and clamp.

•Clean and lubricate concrete pump daily as per pump specifications.

• Do grout splash removal and cleanup after each pile. Operator should be doing upkeep of his equipment when piles are not being pumped.

• Locate water supply for use during job.

• Wear all safety Personal Protective Equipment when on jobsite at all times.

• Adhere to and help enforce all safety requirements, especially those related to the grout pump, the grout pump hoses and the grout delivery vehicles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in related field preferred (Concrete Pump operator)

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Verbal and Written Communication Skills a must

• Many Physical Demands: 

The employee is required to sit for extended period of time.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

Work experience required: 1 year verified work experience as a concrete pump operator

Other Requirements:

Candidates must be willing to travel on days they do not meet at Yard.

Shifts/Hours:Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay:$20.00 to $30hr DOEUp to $1650 w 50 hours/ week

Benefits offered: discussed after 90 days
