Gas Controller 

Location: Surrey, BC

Salary: $3,282.00 bi-weekly

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control gas flow in pipeline systems for safe, efficient operations.
• Analyze pipeline data using SCADA systems, responding to alarms and ensuring proper functioning.
• Forecast daily gas requirements based on weather, historical data, and telemetry.
• Coordinate with field personnel, other departments, and external stakeholders.
• Design and maintain computer applications for Gas Control functions.
• Perform minor maintenance on Gas Control equipment and initiate repairs when necessary.
• Work on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education

• Diploma in a related field or Red Seal Interprovincial Certificate.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with ASTTBC.

Experience

• Five years of relevant experience in Control Room, Pipeline Operations, or related areas.

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge in pipeline hydraulics, gas processes, and control systems.
• Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft products and relevant software.
• Strong organizational and data evaluation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
