Furniture Mover/Driver

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $25

Position: Full time

Work Conditions

- Full-time, long-term position with an opportunity to grow within the company

- Flexible shifts: Monday – Saturday (with the opportunity for overtime if desired)

- Start times vary anywhere between 7:00 am – 9:00 am

Travel

- Starting location is at the company head office in North Vancouver

- Work will involve travel to various customers’ homes or businesses throughout B.C.

Responsibilities:

- Inspecting and cleaning the interior and exterior of the trucks and completing truck  inspection reports on a per-run basis

- Help moving team load and unload boxes

- Arrange boxes and furniture in a safe and compact manner

- Drive to and from warehouse and residential or office sites

- Reporting any maintenance or truck damages to the Dispatcher immediately and  completing, signing, and handing in an Incident Report

- Taking and picking up trucks for maintenance or repair as directed.

- Completing logbooks as required on long-distance moves.

Experience

- Minimum 1 year as an experienced mover is preferred

- Ability to drive 1 – 5 ton trucks

Competencies

- Excellent customer service skills

Certificates & Licences

- Current and valid B.C. Class 5 or Class 7 driver’s license (clean abstract)

Physical Requirements

- Demonstrated physical strength and fitness with the ability to lift 50lbs

Tools & Equipment

- Must own steel-toed shoes
