What Express Employment Professionals is Hiring for:

Quality Control Specialist 

Pay Rate: $22-$24/hour, DOE

Location: Onsite, Calgary, AB
Job Type: Full-time
Onsite Parking: Provided
Shift: Afternoon | 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with different departments to address quality and customer specification concerns in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Deliver on quality standards by meeting individual customer specs and limiting customer rejections with a goal of improving company profitability
  • Provide detailed reporting on all inbound commodities
  • Helps drive customer specifications in addition to product and quality knowledge through the toolbox and put away meetings and by acting as a resource for the trainers
  • Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (e.g. Operational, Administrative, Occupational Health and Safety, and Food Safety [SQF])
  • Liaises with Management, fellow Supervisors and Sales teams to ensure we meet target customer ship times and maintain fill rates
  • Other projects and responsibilities as may arise.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of quality control experience.
  • Must have Fresh or Frozen Produce experience
  • Office administration experience is consider as an asset.

Knowledge & Skills

  • An understanding of quality control and the ability to review product upon arrival.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills, in order to report product condition to ensure that it meet specifications.
  • Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines.
  • Ability to work in high-paced environment.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Highly organized; knowledgeable and follow the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to adhere to the company vaccination policy.
