Full-time Positions Available: Forklift Mechanic in Houston, TX ($25.00 - $35.00 hourly)

Forklift Mechanic 

Location: Houston, TX 

Job Type: Direct Hire 

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour 

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repair of all forklifts
• Assist other Maintenance Mechanics with repairs of equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc. Key Job Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other equipment
• Ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed timely
• Read and comprehend technical manuals
• Operate lift trucks and equipment as required
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company policies 

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to work independently and without constant supervision
• Maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers
• Proactively plan assigned tasks to reduce equipment downtime  

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Certificates & Licenses

• Forklift Certification

• Possess a clean and valid driver’s license

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with forklift repairs

Work Conditions

• Work performed in a shop environment
  

Physical Requirements

• Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable
• Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness
• Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week
• Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment

Tools & Equipment

• Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
