Forklift Mechanic

Location: Lawton, OK

Salary: $18-$22 per hour

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough inspections of forklifts to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
2. Diagnose problems and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
3. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to keep forklifts in peak condition.
4. Troubleshoot and repair various components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
5. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess forklift performance and identify potential issues.
6. Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
7. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
8. Keep abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies related to forklift maintenance.
9. Provide guidance and training to forklift operators on proper usage and preventive maintenance.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Forklift Mechanic or similar role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of forklift systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
• Certification or training in forklift maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Physical fitness and agility to handle the demands of the job.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
