Fly-in, Fly-out Security Guards Needed for Mines in NWT (2-3 week rotations, up to $21/hr)

Scarlet Security Group, a leading company in guarding, risk management, and investigations, is seeking security professionals to join our team in our remote mining protective services operations near Yellowknife, NT. The position is a fly in/fly out project from Calgary, AB, on 2 or 3 week rotations of 12 hour shifts/daily. Territorial overtime rates apply.

Successful applicants will provide security services to a large and dynamic work site including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, assistance with emergency response, protection of assets and access control of secure areas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues and site workers
• Observing site activities and recording suspicious occurrences and security incidents.
• Mobile and foot patrols of assigned areas.
• Emergency response and management.
• Recording daily activities, completing access and administrative forms and issuing or checking security badges.
• Conducting contraband and asset protection searches per site standard operating procedures.
• Monitoring and maintaining physical security of the facilities via a Security Operations Centre.
• Using radios to communicate with colleagues

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Security License
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Drivers Abstract
• Negative Drug and Alcohol Test (Scarlet Security will arrange)
• Ability to clearly speak and write English
• Willingness to work either day or night shifts

Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
