What PrideStaff is Hiring for:

Experienced Forklift Driver

Location: Modesto, CA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16/HR to $23/HR DoE

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks within a warehouse environment
  • Receive, unpack, check, and store products or materials
  • Fill requisitions and orders
  • Operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack
  • Verify inventory computations and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Drive forklifts to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas
  • Organize and secure stored materials
  • Load or unload materials manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices
  • Perform routine post and pre-inspections of forklift equipment
  • Report any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisor
  • Weigh products or materials and record weight and production information on labels and tags
  • Coordinate with supervisors, managers, equipment manufacturers, and colleagues regarding unloading and loading operations
  • Wrap material loads with a wrapper and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse premises
  • Complete forklift operator training provided by the industry annually
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
  • Effective communication and coordination skills

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Tools & Equipment: 

  • Forklift, electric pallet jack, wrapper, etc.

Certificates & Licenses: 

  • Forklift operator certification

Work Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment
  • May involve exposure to varying temperatures

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Physical agility for operating a forklift and performing manual tasks

Pre-employment:

  • Drug check
  • Background screening
