Equipment Operator

Location: Weidman, MI

Job Type: Temporary to Hire

Hours: Full-time, 7 days a week (projects last 6-10 weeks at a time)

Pay: $30 and $145 per day

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy construction/excavating equipment
• Load/unload equipment and materials
• Prepare and clean construction sites
• Perform routine/preventative maintenance on equipment
• Drive trucks and pull trailers to construction sites
• Clean and organize trucks and warehouse areas

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficient operation of heavy construction/excavating equipment
• Basic computer skills

Experience:

• Previous experience in corrosion control, pipeline construction, or utilities industry

Tools & Equipment: 

• Excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, skid steers, trucks, trailers

Certificates & Licenses:

• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass a DOT physical
• TWIC Card (preferred)
• Class A CDL (preferred)

Work Conditions:

• Outdoors in all types of weather
• Exposure to extremes of climate and temperatures

Travel/Transportation: 

• Significant travel required (domestic only)
