Location: Burnaby, B

Job Status: Full-Time Regular

Salary: $45.37 Hourly

Position Highlights:

• Role: Fitter/Welder 2
• Responsibilities: Welding, fabrication, and maintenance of pressure piping and vessel systems on gas transmission and distribution networks.
• Qualifications: Journeyperson Welder Certificate, 5 years of welding experience, valid Class 5 BC Driving License.

Compensation

• Shift Premiums: $2.00 night shift premium after 6:00 pm.
• Additional Certifications: $1.00 B620 certification, $1.00 SGI License.

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday
• 9:00 pm to 7:30 am 
• 40 hours per week

Benefits

Responsibilities:

• Welding on transmission and distribution systems.
• Welding operations, including hot taps, fire welds, and leak repair welds.
• Compliance with Company welder qualification tests and CSA Standard Z662.

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Welder Certificate.
• 5 years of experience in welding pressure piping systems or pipeline welding.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driving License.
• Safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations.

Additional Skills:

• Pipefitting and general fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in gas metal arc, manual arc, or oxy-fuel welding.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and spool sheets.
• Field pipeline welding expertise, including hot tap welds and leak repair welds.

Other Qualifications:

• Position is physically demanding, requiring considerable bending and lifting.
• Exposure to inclement weather.
