Looking For Journeyman Electricians & Project Managers in BC - Up to $45/hour

Electrical Solutions is currently seeking Journeyman Electricians and Project Managers to join our team for service and construction projects located in the Prince George and surrounding areas.

Journeyman Electrician Fundamental Requirements

Salary: $35 - $45/hr

• Residential & commercial service and construction electrical experience is a requirement
• Knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution systems an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching
• Ability to conduct work on ladders and/or aerial platforms and comfortable working from heights
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Must be willing to travel for out-of-town work shifts if required, and
• High attention to detail, work productively and take pride in workmanship
  (perform tasks correctly)

Safety Requirements:

• Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform would be considered an asset.

Experience:

• Electrical Red Seal Certification
• FSR Certification (preferred)
• Commercial/Residential Electrical Experience (*Required* the most!)

Project Manager Qualifications

Salary: $81,000 - $95,000/year

Qualifications:

• Certified Red Seal Electrician with Field Experience
• Field Safety Representative Class A or B
• Willingness to learn and work as a team
• Experience as project lead or related management experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and time management
• Experience with Microsoft suite is required and Accubid estimating program or similar is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and manage overall project engineering budgets, change orders and receivables
• Deliver the project according to contractual requirements by managing the scope, quality, budget, schedule, resources, risk, and issues throughout project lifecycle
• Lead the project delivery team and communicate clear objectives for the team to understand & achieve project goals as per client’s requirements
• Coordinate project resources according to requirements
• Develop a detailed project plan and lead the execution process
• Track and report performance against deliverables, lead initiatives to correct any deviation from the plan
• Implement best practices and standardized procedures to maximize productivity and control
• Responsible for assuring safe working and health practices
• Support and mentor project team members
• Promote safe working culture on sites
• Develop and manage project schedules
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers
• Prepare monthly progress invoices for projects
• Identify potential project opportunities and customers

Project Accounting & Financing Management:

• Manage project budget/estimate.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for each project.
• Work with your team to follow up with outstanding receivables
