Broadhead Industrial is accepting resumes for an EXPERIENCED Red Seal Journeyman Welder for safety-sensitive positions on a rotating 14/14 rotation within the shop and mine sites in Fort McMurray.

An excellent Welder will be:

• A strong self-starter
• Experienced, competent and able to repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy duty equipment in open-pit mining
• The people in this position will be expected to work 12 hours per shift on a 14/14 rotation.
• Check dozers, haul trucks, excavators and other heavy construction and mining equipment for proper performance
• Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions
• Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications

What's required from you;

• A minimum of 3 years experience working with large construction and mining open pit equipment,
• MUST include in depth experience with CAT, Komatsu, John Deere and Hitachi
• Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
• Superior welding aptitude
• Shop and/or field work experience
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Collaborative communication style
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• MUST be able to complete a Respirator Fit test and don a mask at any time while at work, which also means compliance with facial hair requirements to ensure a complete seal for the mask

Requirements;

• Provide a minimum of a Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
• Provide a criminal record check
• Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result
• Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position
• Provide copies of current certifications
