Electrical Test Bay Technician

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Salary: $35- $37 per hour, DOE

Hours: Afternoon Shift

Work Conditions

• Full time 40 Hours weekly
• Monday to Thursday- 2.30 PM- 1.00 AM
• Exposure to outside elements

Personal protective Equipment

• Use of PPE including safety glasses and hearing protection

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installing, connecting, troubleshooting, and testing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Compressors and associated equipment to site specific standards
• Be able to follow safety rules and procedures relating to the role
• Be able to properly utilize the different types of hand tools and equipment while having knowledge of them
• Be able to read and interpret schematics
• Perform routine testing for various electronic equipment and components
• Perform troubleshooting and repairing for industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Be able to maintain a safe work environment within the designated departments
• Identify areas for improvement with the use of Nonconformance (NCR) reports.
• Perform work in accordance with the company documented policies and procedures
• Be able to complete all applicable quality records within the given time frame

Certificates & Licences

• Possess a certified Journeyman Electrician (Inter-Provincial Ticket)

Knowledge & Skills

• Having basic computer skills is required for this role
• Having knowledge of the operation system of gaseous fueling equipment, PLC programming knowledge and industrial equipment installation is preferred
• Comfortable working with equipment rated up to 600V

• Must carry excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• The ideal candidate should have a keen sense of attention to detail

Experience

• Have basic electrical and mechanical hand tools experience
