Direct Hiring: Industrial Electrician ($43 to 46 per hour) - Langley, BC

Industrial Electrician

Pay: $43 to 46 per hour

Hours: Full Time

Job Description :

-Planning new or modified installation to minimize waste of materials, provide access for  future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with 

specifications and local electrical codes.

-Preparing sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or  blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls,  ceilings and flooring.

-Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling and installing electrical conduit.

-Pulling wiring through conduit.

-Splicing wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.

-Connecting wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.

-Installing control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels.

-Connecting power cables to equipment such as electric range or motor and installs  grounding leads.

-Testing continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with  testing instruments such as Ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope 

-Other duties as required.

Certificates & Licences

-Industrial Electrician Trade Qualification (BC or Interprovincial, Red Seal preferred)

Experience

-Experience performing maintenance in an automated manufacturing environment

Knowledge & Skills

-Hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and machining skills

-Good attitude, work ethic, and communication skills

Pre-employment

-Legally entitled to work in Canada with Canadian experience.
