Industrial Electrician

Job Type: Direct hire

Location: Utopia, ON

Salary: $75,000 per year

Shift Structure:

• 2 Week Rotations between Day and Night Shift
• Continental Shift Structure
• Wage: $75,000 per year

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated electrical and basic mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot, and provide routine maintenance as required.
• Read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Familiarity with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, basic documentation, and proper safety techniques.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order to prevent disruption of activities and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventive maintenance services.
• Detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Plan, lay-out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment in buildings and other structures.
• Schedule and complete periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components, and installations. Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Education

• Post-Secondary Education in Electrician and Electrical Programs.
• College education/College of Trades (Trades specific) and/or apprenticeship.

Certificates & Licenses

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Electrician License (442A).

• Must have a strong PLC background

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a licensed Industrial Electrician.
