What ResourceMFG is Hiring for:

Industrial Electricians 

Job Type: Direct Hire 

Location: Farmington Hills, Romulus, and Wixom, MI

Pay: $20-38 per hour (DOE)

Shifts:

  • Wixom: 1st shift
  • Romulus: 2nd shift
  • Farmington Hills: 3rd shift

Job Duties:

  • Use hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, isolating defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment
  • Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems
  • Dismantle electrical machinery, replacing defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position, completing circuits according to diagram specifications
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes
  • Estimate time and material costs on electrical projects
  • Requisition new electrical supplies and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints or electrical schematics, having knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program 

Experience

  • 0 to 2 years of experience

Competencies/Skills:

  • Ability to interpret work instructions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
  • Physical stamina
  • Perform work under direct supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
