Delivery Material Handlers work in teams and are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, unloading and placement of building materials onto customer sites including residential, commercial and industrial building construction sites.  

DUTIES

  • Delivery, unloading and placement of building materials in a timely and safe manner, while adhering to assigned route and schedule
  • Operate remote controlled picker cranes, rough terrain forklifts and conveyers
  • Drive 4/5 axle trucks with tridem pup trailers to jobsites ( up to 8 axles) - depending on license classification
  • Hoist building materials 
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Perform pre and post trip safety inspections
  • Maintain interior cleanliness of assigned unit
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Report exterior damage or mechanical deficiencies as soon as noted
  • Comply with provincial laws, regulations, OHS and company policies and procedures
