Compressor Mechanic
Location: Odessa, TX 79765

Position: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate commitment to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Compliance, and Integrity policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an Oil & Gas background
• Complete Risk Assessments prior to operations and material movements
• Ensure facility equipment and tooling operate efficiently and safely
• Identify, report, and mitigate problems or hazardous conditions
• Excellent Communication, Teamwork, and Collaborative Skills
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical tooling & equipment
• Ensure departmental compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Conditions

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
  

Physical Requirements

• Physically capable of constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other activities
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to extreme heat, noise, dust, burns, arc flashes, and other environmental conditions

Travel/Transportation

• Travel within the US may be required

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations / service center operation applications or relevant operation experience

• Previous manufacturing / shop service center operations experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor cylinder equipment
• Team player
• Ability to work un-directed per engineering specifications
• Highly complex troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to perform hydro pressure testing and functional testing
• Knowledgeable in good housekeeping requirements and safety regulations
• Basic math skills and ability to read schematics
• Mechanical aptitude with familiarity with tools
