Pipefitter Journeyperson 

Project Location: Shell Scotford - Fort Saskatchewan, AB 

Shift: Day or Night 

Schedule: 4/3 (Monday to Thursday) 

Accommodations: LOA/Camp/Not Available/Local Only

Work Conditions

  • This is a six (6) month position for a Maintenance project scheduled to run from April 2023 to October 2023. (This is a projected end date and could finish before or after)
  • Schedule is 4-10’s (Monday to Thursday). Shift may be extended to a 6-1 schedule.
  • This position will have Day and Night positions.
  • Overtime is available where approved. 
  • Local Candidates Only! No camp or LOA available. This project is drive-in only so candidates must be local to Edmonton Capital region/Fort Saskatchewan area.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
  • Follow various Jardeg and Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000. 

Certificates & Licences

  • Certified Journeyperson and/or holds a valid recognized credential along with proof of hours with which to qualify as Journeyperson level Pipefitter.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified
  • Fall Protection OSSA or Energy Safety Canada Certified
  • Confined Space Entry Fit Test
  • Aerial Work Platform
  • Fire Watch
  • Basic Rigging
  • Breathing Air
