What WORKFORCE is Hiring for:

Manual Lathe Shop Machinist

Location: Brampton, ON

Job Type: Direct

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Travel: No

Relocation: No

Hours: 

  • Full Time
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize manual machines (not CNC) and demonstrate extensive experience with manual lathes
  • Responsible for machine maintenance, use/calibration, and maintenance of QC tools
  • Perform machining to drawing specifications
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, emphasizing safety
  • Read and interpret production drawings for machining

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a manual machinist (grinding/welding/lathe work)
  • Specific experience with manual lathes is preferred
  • Previous experience working onsite in a machine shop environment

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings for machining
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods
  • Punctuality and promptness
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Pre-employment

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
