Brake Press Operator

Location: Simi Valley, CA

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour

Hours: 2nd shift: 2 pm - 10:30 am (Must be able to work up to 12 hours)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Long-term performance-to-hire opportunity)

Essential Functions:

• Set up and perform BRAKE operations on AMADA style Brake Machinery to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints for accurate and safe brake operation.
• Understand and calculate bend deduction allowances for proper and safe setup of AMADA air bend tooling.
• Follow work order directions, producing required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic quality.
• Perform light-level daily maintenance on assigned brake press equipment.

Job Qualifications:

• Read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings involving brake operations.
• Possess sufficient visual acuity (correctable) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
• Know how to safely set up and run AMADA style Brake machinery or AMADA ASTRO robotic brake machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 50 pounds.

Experience

• Applicable experience in operation and setup of sheet metal precision press brake operation.
