What Primoris Services Corporation is Hiring for:

The Welder is involved in the joining of pipe, steel, beams, vessels, and other metal components. This work may exist indoors or outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Anticipated Start Date: May 12, 2024

Anticipated End Date: June 15, 2024

Location: CNRL Horizon (Fort McMurray, AB)

Shift: 6&1 and 24

Other: Travel Allowances (TAP)

Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary

Accommodation: Camp available

Hourly Rate: $33.19-42.68 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

  • Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
  • Read and interpret blue prints to determine requirements of the job
  • Join or sever metals in beams, vessels, piping, and other metal components
  • Utilize different processes and fillers depending on the Client requirements
  • Clean and check weld for defects
  • Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
  • May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be an Alberta registered apprentice (or hold an apprenticeship certificate recognized by AIT)
  • Alberta B-Pressure Certificate and current PQR’s may be required
  • Current CWB All-position certification may be required
  • CSTS-09 and/or CSO
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment
