Location: Borger, TX 79007

Pay: Competitive

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Selecting type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications
• Inspecting worksite to determine presence of obstructions and planning installation sequence to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
• Cutting, threading, and bending pipe as necessary
• Mounting pipe hangers and brackets
• Assembling and installing a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings using various techniques
• Testing piping systems for leaks
• Welding pipe supports to structural steel members

Requirements:

• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Decision-making based on measurable criteria
• Application of shop mathematics to solve problems
• Visualizing objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
• Working at heights without fear
• Comparing and seeing differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous years of experience in the field or in a related area

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Ability to work under immediate supervision
