What Arctic Storm Oilfield is Hiring for:

Arctic Storm Oilfield provides snowmaking services to the oil, gas, and mining industries for winter access construction. Our snowmaking equipment is used to build snow bridges over watercourses, pipeline crossings, and muskeg areas. 

This position starts Dec. 3rd in the Fort McMurray region and will go until Christmas break (Dec. 20th estimated) with potential work after Christmas as well.

Operators will be responsible for all aspects of making snow, including maintaining and adjusting snowmakers, water pumps, generators, air compressors, and other support equipment. This work is in remote locations with minimal supervision. 12 hour shifts are common, with the possibility of working day or night shifts.

Oilfield, construction, and mechanical experience are assets but not required. Successful candidates will be motivated, eager to learn new tasks and equipment, and have or be willing to get all required safety courses. 

At a minimum, the required courses are:

  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid
  • TDG
  • WHMIS

Additional courses may be needed depending on client/project requirements. Applicants must pass alcohol and drug testing.
