CNC Machinist

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Salary: $33.00-$45.00 per hour

Position: Full time permanent

Role & Responsibilities:

• Setup a variety of CNC machines Mill/Tum, CNC Lathes, 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills, and screw Machines
• Produce precise and consistent parts ensuring compatibility with mating parts
• Write and modify CNC programs
• Update setup sheets, improve detail and accuracy as needed
• Actively maintain equipment and keep a clean working environment
• Being proactive in reporting any damaged tools or machine incidents
• Complete all required paperwork following standard operating procedures
• Assist in the purchasing of new machines, tooling, and production equipment, providing accurate specs
• Actively participate in the coaching of apprentices and machine operators

Experience:

• 5+ years machining experience

• Experience in Gibbs CAM software
• Experience with Brother, Okuma, Nakamura, and Haas
• Experience with 4 and 5 axis mills and Mill/tum machines

Work Conditions

• Must be available to work in a flexible a rotating schedule

Competencies

• Write and modify CNC programs

Certificates & Licences

• Work with a Red Seal trade certificate, or equivalent experience

Schedule:

• Rotating and flexible Schedules
  
• Day Shift- 6 AM- 2.30 PM
• Afternoon Shift- 2 PM-10.30 PM, Premium (10% of hourly wage)
• Graveyard Shift- 10 PM- 6.30 AM, Premium (17% of hourly wage)
• Saturdays- 10 AM-4 PM
• 40 hours weekly
