Location: St. John's, NL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.50 / hr DOE

Essential Functions:

• Provide visible leadership with a Total Ownership attitude, emphasizing safety.
• Supervise and ensure the safety of the drilling crew and efficient operations during the tour of duty.
• Enforce, clarify, and follow company policies, standards, and procedures.
• Promote operational excellence through procedural discipline.
• Train and supervise crew members on standard operating procedures.
• Delegate work effectively with clear expectations.
• Ensure timely completion of accurate reports required by the company and client.
• Monitor drilling parameters, alarm systems, and well control events.
• Operate drilling equipment and ensure machinery maintenance.
• Comply with emergency response plans during drills or emergencies.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in identifying and understanding the functionality of various rig equipment and tubular sizes.
• Knowledgeable in basic rigger’s role for safe lifting operations.
• Skilled at working with hand and power tools.
• Familiar with mechanical systems and capable of operating relevant equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and execution of drilling and well operations.
• Good verbal communication skills in English.
• Sound reasoning skills, common sense, and ability to follow directions.
• Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in rig math.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• High School diploma required.
• At least 6 years of work experience as a Driller.
• Basic formation on the geology of oilfields and well designs.

• Experience in a marine construction/commissioning environment considered an asset.

Work Conditions

• Must meet all standards required for safe operations.
  
• Travel to and from the work location may require extended layovers.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day on a rotational schedule.
• Position will involve rotating to Ingleside, TX, upon hire.
