Tanker Driver - Class 1 Driver- Short Haul

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Salary: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: On the road

Duties:

• Safe Operation: Operate the tanker truck safely, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Maintain a strong focus on road safety and follow best practices to prevent accidents or incidents.
• Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker truck to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Report any problems to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
• Vehicle Care: Keep the tanker truck clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues for timely repair.
• Health and Safety: Comply with all safety protocols, such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• The Tanker Driver will be required to work a 12-hour day shift from 3:30AM until 3:30PM Monday to Thursday.

Skills:

• Valid Class 1 License with a Clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• Experience in transporting liquids (Gas, Water, Oil,ect)
• Ability to test Spring Water
• Some heavy lifting will be required.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of operating a tanker truck, including lifting heavy hoses or equipment

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• No weekends
• Overtime

Experience:

• Tanker Driving: 2 years (required)
• Driving in Mountains With Tanker Truck: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

• Class 1 License w Air Brakes (required)
