Injection Moulding - Machine Operator

Location: Scarborough, ON

Salary: $23 - $25 / Hourly

Job Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate labor requirements based on standard work and hourly count board targets.
• Ensure production line layout setup supports one piece flow production.
• Execute material Kanban systems and requests.
• Ensure standard work procedures for operators and material handlers are followed.
• Achieve labor needs for total business requirements in collaboration with Group Leaders and Team Coordinators.
• Maximize efficiency by staging production materials on the line before the production process begins.
• Accountable for line tear down, including material return to stock, storage of assembly fixtures, and tool return.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and support operators' ideas.
• Provide feedback for performance appraisals and complete Monthly Temp Assessments.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education is a plus.

Experience

• Six months of related experience and/or training.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Outstanding teamwork and technical skills.
• Interest in learning and applying new knowledge.
