$22.00 to $28.00 Per Hour General Laborers Wanted in BC (6&1, 10-hour Shift, Travel Pay)

This is a temporary position on the first phase of a construction project, and this phase is expected to start on November 14 and end on November 27. This position will be largely involved with groundwork. 

Responsibilities

• Supporting the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and corresponding site areas.  
• Transporting materials and equipment.  
• Dig trenches, and shovel snow, gravel, and other materials.  
• Cleaning off machinery at shops and client sites. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Does this sound like you? 

• 1 year of experience working in an industrial site.  
• Currently enrolled in a Pipefitter Apprenticeship is an asset.  
• Valid CSTS, WHMIS, H2S Alive, TDG, Common Safety Orientation, and Standard First Aid are required  
• Physically fit with the ability to work long workdays.  
• Ability to work independently. 
• Must have own transportation to site. 

Perks of the job:

• Employee rate $22-$28/hr. (depending on experience).
• 6 days on & 1 day off rotation.
• 10-hour shift (8 hours regular & 2OT).
• Up to 2 hours daily travel pay.

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
