No experience necessary: just over 18, able to work 84 hr weeks in a plant environment, able to follow directions and show up on time.

Training will be provided and no experience is required, however, previous experience with radiological instrumentation or similar industrial hygiene equipment, previous plant experience of any kind, or an active TWIC are a plus.

Must be 18 yrs or older with clean criminal background and able to pass a drug screen. Pay range is $17-20/hr plus overtime dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Travel/per diem provided for non-Houston area job sites.

Our company has 20+ immediate openings for Environmental Technicians, focusing on turnaround work. We currently have turnarounds scheduled from Sept through end of March. Lots of other environmental jobs in-between the turnarounds.

We manage the naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) for the propylene, ethylene, propane, ethane process lines during turnarounds for gas refineries/splitter/frac units and plastic manufacturing.

As a tech, you'd be using radiation detectors to identify NORM on equipment and tag it. We also scan other contractors as they exit contaminated towers/vessels, wash bays, etc. You'll receive several days of training for the instruments. If you've ever used a 4-gas meter, you can easily learn to use a radiation detector.
