Operations Process Analyst 1

Location: Surrey, BC

Employment Status: Full-Time Regular

Salary: $2,531.00 Bi-weekly

Responsibilities:

  • Investigates reported process breakdowns and works collaboratively to analyze processes and procedures, perform gap analysis, and determine root cause.
  • Researches, observes, and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Works with managers and users to document and design consistent, effective, and efficient process flow charts and maps.
  • Analyses and investigates system maintenance problems with existing operations systems and makes recommendations or takes action to resolve problems.
  • Verifies changes/additions and maintains control of system business parameter tables.
  • Manages the priority of corrective and adaptive system maintenance modifications for non-SAP applications and assists in the prioritization of corrective and adaptive system maintenance for SAP.
  • Documents system changes, prepares test scripts, and conducts user acceptance testing of all changes.
  • Maintains records of test results for verification.
  • Provides direction to outsourced system maintenance providers programming corrective and adaptive system changes.
  • Researches system enhancement requirements based on business needs.
  • Works collaboratively with Managers and users to create consistent, effective, and efficient processes and makes recommendations to resolve process breakdowns.
  • Manages small assignments.
  • Develops, maintains, and publishes user documentation and training materials with respect to both systems and processes.
  • Communicates both systems and process changes to users and other affected parties.
  • Coaches users in the effective and consistent use of Operations systems and processes.
  • Provides end user system training, support, guidance, and advice on existing operations systems and processes.
  • Coordinates and conducts training sessions.

Education:

  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary certificate in a business-related field or computer technology.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years directly related experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Good interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in unstructured team environments.
  • Competence in managing small-sized assignments.
  • Oral and written communications, presentation skills, and adult training delivery ability.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of computer systems, software development lifecycle, system and application software, protocols, and standards.
  • Working knowledge of data processing, spreadsheet, statistical, and specialized software in use in the department.
  • Knowledge of process improvement models.

Qualifications

  • Valid BC Driver’s license.
