GLO Resources is currently looking to hire a Welder/Shop Worker in Baton Rouge, LA.

Schedule: 

Monday-Friday with heavy overtime. 6:30 AM-4:00 PM. Willing to work weekends when needed.

The Rate of Pay for this position is $22.00 an hour.

Description & Duties:

  • Able to pass a SMAW and FCAW weld test.
  • Strong welding skills with experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques
  • Cut on bandsaw and sheer plate and angle and weld parts together. 
  • Weld flat bar, channel, plate, angle, tube steel, sometimes rebar.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal
  • Follows quality control procedures to ensure that the assembled, fabricated product meets customer specifications
  • Upholds accurate records of materials used on "ticket"; locates and pulls required materials from inventory
  • Maintains clean work area and equipment; following safety procedures concerning the use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • SMAW Certification preferred 
  • FCAW Certification preferred 
  • Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
