Wash Unit Operator & Swamper

What you do:

• Rig in equipment including hoses, valves, vent lines, bonding/grounding cables.
  
• Safe operation of wash unit/steam unit.
  
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to truck.
  
• Operation of air driven valves.
  
• Perform assigned emergency response roles.
  
• Supervise, mentor, and coach onsite safety personnel and workers.
  
• Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment.
  
• Complete required daily paperwork including time tickets, and vehicle inspections.
  
• Maintain inventories of supplied equipment and chemicals.
  
• Maintain logbooks in accordance with DOT standards.
  
• Perform daily housekeeping of truck, and reporting deficiencies immediately. 
  

Extensive knowledge of:

• Professional commercial driver obligations
  
• Load securement, load placement
  
• Highway traffic act, commercial vehicles act, hours of service.
  
• Weigh scale operations and requirements.
  
• Journey management program requirements
  
• Operation, care, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  
• Occupational health and safety regulations, safety programs (company and client)
  
• Bonding and grounding of equipment.
  
• Operations of venting control equipment including scrubber units.
  
• Operation of gas detection equipment.
  
• Safely operate the steam truck to clean heavy equipment in safety sensitive environments.

• Clean class 1 drivers abstract
  
• Standard First Aid (2 Day Course)
