What Cameco Corporation is Hiring for:

As a key member of the Process team, you will be responsible for analyzing daily water samples, performing preventative maintenance on lab instrumentation, and following quality control and quality assurance procedures. You will work closely with Process Operators, Supervisors, and Metallurgists to support process operations, process troubleshooting and lab/field studies. The Chemical Technologist is also responsible for driving continuous improvement in the lab as well as streamlining data collection and analysis. If you like working as part of a team where we look out for one another and collaborate to improve our performance, then we may have a job for you. 

Requirements of the position: 

  • Technical diploma in chemistry, metallurgy, or processing  
  • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant analytical lab experience 
  • Minimum 3 years operating an ICP-MS 
  • Willingness to give and receive honest feedback 
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft  

Assets: 

  • Experience working in a heavy industrial environment 
  • Experience with SAP 
  • Experience with LIMS
