Mechanical Supervisors for both hourly and contract positions to support its short duration turn around requirements.

• The Immediate positions required are for a 3-week total duration with a week of prep work in July followed by 2 weeks of outage duration in September. 
• Work locations will be primarily located in Northwestern Canada.
• The ideal candidate possesses, previous experience working as a mechanical supervisor in a processing facility environment, ideally in the forestry industry. 
• Seeking flexible work schedule where short duration work contracts with travel and remote work allowances are desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Communication with team through daily safety meetings.
• Support planning and execution of work as per schedule and job plan.
• Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials.
• Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations.
• Communicating the job to and with tradesmen/ workers
• Supervising crew tasks
• Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements.
• Providing feed back on job plans and closing of work orders.

Requirements:

• Previous management and supervisory experience in pulp and paper mills or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical background or mechanical supervisory background.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Flexible during times of change while maintaining standards.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment turnaround environment.
