What Cameco Corporation is Hiring for:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the privacy management program for Cameco, under the direction of the privacy officer. This includes providing consultation, support, advice and guidance for privacy activities across Cameco, in accordance with internal management documents, applicable legislation and regulations, and industry good practices. You will perform privacy audits, risk analysis, conduct internal privacy investigations, respond to external privacy investigations, and respond to escalated privacy breach investigations and access to information requests.

Travel will be required to certain North America locations.

This position is a one-year temporary position with possibility of extension.

Requirements of the position:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, health care or related field of study
  • Five to eight years of relevant work experience (developing and delivering a privacy and/or information management program for large complex organizations)
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of privacy management legislation, regulations and good practices, including Saskatchewan’s Health Information Protection Act, Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act
  • International Association of Privacy Professionals designation or other industry recognized privacy, access, or information management certification

Assets:

  • Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Information Systems Auditor designation
  • Law degree with experience in international privacy laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which Cameco operates would be considered an asset
